About Our Geothermal Well Drilling Process
We begin with a detailed site evaluation to determine the ideal drilling location and system design based on your property’s heating and cooling demands. For closed-loop systems, we typically drill 150 to 200 feet per ton of system capacity. For example, a 5-ton unit would require five vertical loops. These loops are thermally fused, connected to your geothermal heat pump, and charged with a non-toxic antifreeze solution to optimize thermal exchange.
We also offer custom well and pump drilling for open-loop (pump-and-dump) geothermal systems, designed to meet groundwater availability and discharge requirements. Each system is engineered for maximum efficiency, long-term performance, and minimal maintenance.
